Calm the Critic Masterclass for Bridgewater Mums

Bridgewater School, Wednesday 28th January, 7.15-9pm

Tickets £15 (worth £120) including a glass of bubbly

From one Bridgewater mum to another, I get it…

Mum life is full on, overwhelming and non-stop. The Whatsapp groups, school emails, kids’ parties, wash loads, afterschool clubs, homework… oh and the career, relationships, house. It’s all a lot. And what really doesn’t help is that annoying voice in the background telling you that what you do is STILL not enough. Listening to that inner critic is exhausting (trust me, I know!) so it’s about time we did something about it. It’s time to calm your critic and connect with your confidence so you can create the headspace to be the woman you want to be.

After years of running inner critic workshops for organisations across the globe, for the first time ever I’m offering this as a Bridgewater-only event and you’re invited!

In just 90 minutes you’ll learn…

  • What imposter syndrome really is and how it effects us working mums.
  • The secret intentions of your inner critic and how to take back control of it.
  • The techniques to tune into your positive inner mentor so you and your mind can be on the same side.
  • The toolkit you need to release stress and access confidence whenever you want it.

This is the masterclass for you if you answer YES to any of these questions…

Do you hold back from opportunities to be seen or heard because that little voice in your head makes you doubt yourself?

Do you overwork to compensate for your fear of being caught out as not good enough, leaving you exhausted at the end of every day?

Do you find yourself distracted by that unhelpful internal dialogue constantly running in the background, getting in the way of you being fully present?

Do you set impossibly high standards for yourself and then berate yourself when you can’t achieve them, whilst also ignoring all the evidence that you did a great job?

I get it, I’ve been there!

Feeling this way is both exhausting and unsustainable, and leaves too many women on the edge of burnout every year. I know that from both the evidence and my own personal experience!

What if instead you could:

  • understand your imposter syndrome behaviour and how to calm the negative self talk down
  • make positive self talk a habit so you feel like you’re on your own side
  • know how to release stresses on the go and be in control of your mindset
  • feel and come across as an impactful woman who’s worthy of all her roles and can achieve whatever she sets her mind to.

Wouldn’t that just feel amazing?

“I attended an extremely insightful (not to mention enjoyable) workshop on taming your inner critic, with the undeniably brilliant Gemma Holmes.

In just 90 minutes Gemma shared some impressive names in our self-doubt club, wowed us with science and taught some very real techniques to bolster our confidence. With absolutely zero mention of ‘faking it til we make it’, thank goodness!

Thank you Gemma.”

About your host

I’m Gemma, The Peer Coach, confidence therapist and fellow Bridgewater mum.

12 years ago, I was a female leader in a male-dominated environment, in the position to influence marketing strategies at a global level. I could have felt on top of the world but instead I felt burdened by the weight of it.

I became overwhelmed by the pressure and turned to perfectionism to hide my fears of being caught out as not good enough. I wasn’t living. I was surviving in a cycle of stress, anxiety, imposter syndrome and self-doubt.

Until I found myself again through my therapy and coaching journey. I did the inner work and trained as a therapist to help my peers do the same. Since 2016 I’ve been helping women enjoy the freedom of a kinder mind and a calming sense of confidence through 1:1 therapy and international workshops. I’d love to help you too.
